Guadalupe Hernandez Exhibit Opens

With this exhibition, Hernandez examines the themes of family, labor, and cultural practices through a series of paintings and works of cut paper inspired by Papel Picado. "Con Cariño," which translates to “with love” or “with care,” is an homage to his parents who abandoned their homeland in search of a brighter future for their family. The works in this show link together fragments of their journey and the various forms of labor they undertook to provide their children with opportunities they were denied.
