In Partnership with the Presidential Archives

Campaigning Through the Centuries

This exhibit takes visitors on a journey along the centuries-long Presidential campaign trail displaying the oddities of campaign fever—from stump speeches to victory parties.

Explore both the humorous and serious sides of campaigning with objects from the very first campaigns to present day. Visitors will learn about the lengthy process that presidential candidates must go through even before beginning their campaign.

Objects over the two centuries the United States has existed are featured in this exhibit from the Presidential Archives’ Permanent Collection. Whether they are small pins and coins, or large posters, keep an eye out for the progression through the years of how traditional campaign materials have changed and evolved.

This exhibition will be on display until December 13, 2024.
